Mr. Srimal Wickremasinghe launched his family owned business, Ceylon Travelex, in January, 15 years ago, with the intention of promoting the hidden world in Sri Lanka. His wife, Mrs. Anne Wickremasinghe, who had envisioned a prosperous future, supported his ambition and together became our first founders. For the first few years, his family oriented business prospered evidently, as he partnered with his sister, Mrs. Srivanthi Rodrigo, and her husband, Mr. Cedric Rodrigo.

For over 10 years, Ceylon Travelex had been a youthful, enthralling journey for our families, and even though we had to part with our first founding partners, their immense support remains forever valued and appreciated.

As the Wickremasinghe’s journey progressed throughout the years, their two childhood companions, Mr. Chamara Chandrasekara and Mrs. Chanika Chandrasekara, had returned from their expeditions around the globe, and joined the family. Together, as passionate adventurers, these four Directors shared one aspiration: their desire to travel.

With this resolution, they were eager to carry forward CeylonTravelex and provide the best, convenient, luxury travel experience, customising travel itineraries for their clients, with the intention of promoting the luxury and ultra-luxury of Sri Lanka, a part of the Island unknown to the world.
